Infused pre-rolls come in several builds, and the names get thrown around loosely. A hash hole, an infused mini, an infused blunt and a moonrock-style joint all have concentrate in them, but they are made differently and they smoke differently. Here is how to tell them apart, so you buy the one you actually want.
The short version
| Type | How the concentrate is used | Typical size | Burn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hash hole | A piece of concentrate runs through the center as a core | 1.5g (1.25g flower + 0.25g core) | Slow, even, leaves a hole in the ash |
| Infused mini | Live badder is worked into ground flower before rolling | 0.5g | Quick, flavorful, evenly infused |
| Infused blunt | Badder core inside a larger leaf-wrapped roll | 2g flower + 0.5g badder | Long, slow session |
| Moonrock-style joint | Flower dipped in concentrate and rolled in kief | Varies | Hot and sticky, can run unevenly |
Hash holes: a core through the middle
A hash hole has a distinct structure. Whole-bud flower wraps a core of concentrate, and as the joint burns, the core melts and leaves a donut-shaped hole. Ours use 1.25g of flower and a 0.25g badder core. The result is a longer, steadier session than a regular gram, with the flavor of the core coming through at the end of each pull. Read the full explainer in our hash hole pre-roll guide or browse the hash hole collection.
Infused minis: concentrate mixed through the flower
An infused mini is a 0.5g pre-roll where live badder is worked into freshly ground whole-bud flower. Instead of a core, the concentrate is distributed through the roll, so the flavor is consistent from the first pull. Minis sell as singles and 5-packs, which makes them an easy way to try a strain and concentrate pairing. Browse mini pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls.
Infused blunts: the long session
Our infused blunts are 2g of whole-bud flower in a natural leaf wrap with a glass tip and a 0.5g live badder core. They are the biggest of the group and meant to be shared. See the THCA blunt guide and the blunt collection.
Moonrock-style joints: coated, not cored
A moonrock is flower dipped in concentrate and coated in kief. Moonrock-style pre-rolls borrow that idea. They look dramatic and can be very strong, but the coating burns differently from a core: hotter, stickier, and sometimes uneven. They are more of a novelty format than a daily one. We do not make them, because the construction makes consistency hard to guarantee batch to batch.
What each one costs per gram
Using our current prices (they may change), the math looks like this:
- Hash hole: $20 for 1.5g, about $13.33 per gram
- Infused mini: $12 for 0.5g, about $24 per gram, or $55 for a 5-pack of 2.5g, about $22 per gram
- Standard single (no concentrate): $12 for 1g, $12 per gram
If you want concentrate in your joint at the best price per gram, the hash hole wins. If you want a small, easy-to-try size, the mini wins. The full table is in our pre-roll sizes and prices guide.
Which one should you buy?
- Want the best value with concentrate: hash hole.
- Want to try a combo without committing: infused mini single.
- Want something to share: infused blunt or hash hole.
- New to concentrates: start with a standard pre-roll, then move up. Infused rolls hit harder than their size suggests.
FAQ
Is a hash hole the same as an infused pre-roll?
No. All hash holes are infused in a sense, but not all infused pre-rolls are hash holes. A hash hole has a core through the center. Infused minis mix concentrate through the flower.
Which is strongest?
By total concentrate, the blunt and hash hole carry the most. Strength depends on the batch, so check each product's COA.
Can I save half for later?
You can, but concentrate cores do not relight as cleanly as plain flower. Hash holes are best finished in one or two sessions.
21+ only. Cannabinoid content varies by batch. See our lab results. Check your state's rules before ordering: where THCA flower is still legal.
