TL;DR
Nine times out of ten a disposable that "died" early is one of three things: a clogged mouthpiece (warm it, then take a few dry pulls without firing), a drained battery (charge it 20 minutes via USB-C, a blinking light means battery, not empty), or thick oil in cold weather (roll it between your palms for a minute). Live resin is thicker than distillate, so occasional clogs are normal, tossing a half-full device isn't.
Live resin disposables carry real, unstripped extract, that's why they taste like the strain. It also means the oil is thicker than the runny distillate in gas-station carts, and thick oil occasionally clogs. Before you throw out a device with a gram left in it, run this list in order.
1. Charge It: Even If You Think It's Empty
A blinking light or no vapor at all usually means battery, not tank. Modern disposables (including everything in our vape collection) recharge over USB-C. Twenty minutes on a charger resurrects most "dead" devices. If you can see oil in the window, it's not empty.
2. Clear a Mouthpiece Clog
Condensed vapor collects in the mouthpiece and hardens between sessions. Fix: take three or four sharp pulls without activating the battery (cover the airflow sensor with a finger off the button, or pull very gently on draw-activated devices so it doesn't fire). The suction pulls the plug through. A toothpick or unbent paperclip gently worked into the mouthpiece handles stubborn buildup, go in a couple of millimeters, no further.
3. Warm Thick Oil
Below about 60 F, live resin thickens enough to starve the coil. Roll the device between your palms for 60-90 seconds, or put it in an inside pocket for ten minutes. Never use a hair dryer, radiator or car dashboard, heat degrades the oil and can damage the battery.
4. Fix Flooded-Coil Gurgling
Gurgling plus weak, wet hits means oil has seeped into the airway, usually from leaving the device on its side or pulling too hard. Stand it upright for 30 minutes, take a few gentle dry pulls, then fire it with short, soft draws until the crackle clears.
5. Check Your Draw Technique
Draw-activated devices want a slow, steady 3-4 second pull, not a hard rip. Pulling hard floods the coil (see #4) and trips some devices' overdraw cutoff. If your hits feel airy instead of weak, check whether your device has an adjustable airflow ring that's slid open.
6. Let a Hot Coil Rest
Chain-puffing overheats the coil and mutes both vapor and flavor; burnt taste after many quick hits means the wick can't re-saturate fast enough. Ten minutes of rest restores it. If every hit tastes burnt from the first puff, the device was likely run dry or stored in heat, that one's real damage.
7. Know When It's Actually Done
Genuine end-of-life looks like: visible empty window, burnt taste on gentle puffs even after resting, or no vapor with a full charge and clear airway. Disposables are sealed by design, don't pry one open. If a device from us dies with product visibly left, contact support; that's what it's for.
Prevention Beats Fixes
Store upright, at room temperature, out of the sun and the car. Take slow draws. Charge before the battery fully drains. That routine eliminates nearly every issue above.
